Shiroiya Hotel Giving Anew
Since its opening in the heart of Maebashi in December 2020, the Sou Fujimoto-designed SHIROIYA HOTEL has attracted international attention for its museum-like space filled with greenery and artworks by Japanese and international artists. With a mission to contribute to Maebashi’s urban development, the hotel features bold architecture, contemporary art, design and cuisine, as well as a storied history. These elements have been collected in a book with beautiful graphics and photographs, an interview with architect and designer Sou Fujimoto, and words from those active in the fields of art, design, and cuisine. Art direction and illustrations are by All the Way to Paris, an international design firm based in Copenhagen, Denmark. The book is sold in a set of two: an English version (264 pages) and an accompanying Japanese booklet (48 pages).

The T-shirt was designed by HIROCK DESIGN OFFICE, a leader in street culture based in Maebashi, and is made of sustainable materials that can be continuously recycled by using BRING Technology*, a unique chemical recycling technology.
