the BAKERY
A good bakery is the heart of a community. the BAKERY at SHIROIYA HOTEL was opened to serve the local community, as well as its guests. In the early morning, the delicious scent of warm bread sharpens the appetite, as the BAKERY prepares the bread and pastries for our restaurants. Bold typography and artworks by Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio add visual impact to the warm, welcoming space. Drop by for a sweet treat, delicious sandwiches for a picnic in Maebashi Park, jams and cookies to take home, and local products including fresh milk and prosciutto.
Shiroiya Hotel’s bakery is a scratch bakery. A scratch bakery is a store where every step of the bread-making process, from preparing the dough to baking, is done in an on-site workshop. By being involved in all stages, we can create high-quality and healthy bread you can enjoy. Our skilled bakers use carefully selected high-quality domestic wheat and various ingredients abundantly. The dough is kneaded, shaped with care, and baked to perfection. We offer a variety of freshly baked breads, including pain de mie (loaf bread) made with the rare wheat flour “Kitano Kaori,” crusty baguettes, buttery croissants, cheese-filled tartines, popular canelé, apple pies, and savory breads crafted by Head Chef Hiro Katayama of Shiroiya Hotel. We look forward to welcoming you with our diverse range of freshly baked breads.
